Keiskamma Art Group
Date: 27th February - 1st March 2012
It was with great anticipation that I drove down the dusty rural road into Hamburg, where for the next four days I would be facilitating a Red Shoe Workshop with the artists of the Keiskamma Trust. I knew that they would benefit from the workshop, but I also knew that working with these skilled embroiderers was going to be an exciting experience for me.
I was not to be disappointed, as the group rose to the challenge and the results speak for themselves.

The focus for this particular workshop was to show participants how to create something original from their personal life experience.

They worked hard to complete their shoes within the limited time frame, and by the final afternoon we were able to sit back and enjoy the fruits of their labour.

I was very satisfied with the outcomes of the workshop, and the shoes were absolutely gorgeous...each pair as unique as the individual who made them.
